Le prototype SN 600 Corvette F-WRSN décollant pour la première fois le 16 juillet 1970 du terrain de Melun-Villaroche aux mains de Robert Briot et Jean Caillard. Le 23 mars 1971, durant des essais à haute incidence avec train et volets sortis, l'avion et son équipage furent perdus très probablement en raison d'une rupture en fuselage d'un des éléments de transmission entre manche et profondeur. En effet, au moment où le 01 atteignait sa vitesse de décrochage, avec un violent passage du manche à cabrer en position à piquer, le pilote tira pour se récupérer mais rien ne suivit. Le contrôle ne pouvant être repris depuis 20000 ft où se passait l'essai l'avion s'écrasa entrainant dans la mort Robert Guyot pilote d'essai également impliqué dans les essais du Jaguar et ancien de la PAF, André Noël mécanicien navigant et Robert Bernardoni ingénieur d'essais. La société envisagea d'abandonner ce programme mais la solidité de la cellule n'étant pas mise en cause on décida de continuer directement par la construction des avions de série.
First prototype of SN-600 Corvette F-WRSN taking-off for the first time on 16 July 1970 at Melun-Villaroche in the hands of Robert Briot and Jean Caillard. On 23 March 1971, during high incidence trials with landing-gear and flaps down, the aircraft was lost probably due to a failure of horizontal stabiliser. Indeed, at the moment where 01 attained stall speed, with violent travel of the stick from full rear to full fore position, pilot pulled up for recovery and nothing happened, a mecanical element of the commanding chain being probably broken. Impossible to take again control from 20,000 feet and the prototytpe crashed killing Robert Guyot, a test pilot also involved with Jaguar prototypes and former pilot of Patrouille de France, André Noël the flying mechanic and Robert Bernardoni as experimentator. Abandon of the program was envisaged but structural failure being discarded the firm decided ton continue directly with a first production machine.
