EDITORIAL
Last part of what
was the 1972 edition of the famous Display organized each two
years by The Society of British Aerospace Companies. Thirty years
later, at least for me it's almost as if things happened today
and with the fabulous power of pictures this gives me an
opportunity for a live remake of the airshow and I hear again the
wispering, whistling or hurling engines of each of the machines
shown according their various situations during their demo. I
only went two times to Farnborough and, compared with the 13
editions of Le Bourget I integrally followed, I always find that
the British event might be defined as " A big aircraft
garden-party ". Even our discussions between members of the
Press or with the Company Attachés seemed to be held in a
distinguished house at tea-time...
Enjoy the aircraft and, before all, the elegant Red Arrows and
their Gnats, all is so British...!!!
Voici le dernier
volet de ce que fut la livraison 1972 du fameux Display organisé
tous les deux ans, en alternance avec Le Bourget, par la Société
des Compagnies Aérospatiales Britanniques.
Trente ans après il me semble que c'est aujourd'hui et que, grâce
à l'étonnant pouvoir évocateur des images, je revis les présentations
en direct et entends les sons moteurs de chaque avion qu'ils
soient murmurants, sifflants ou grondants et selon leurs phases
de démonstration... Je ne suis allé que deux fois à
Farnborough et, comparé au 13 éditions du Bourget que j'ai
suivies intégralement, je continue à penser que la
manifestation britannique pouvait se définir comme "une
grosse garden-party d'avions". Même nos discussions entre
membres de la presse ou avec les attachés des sociétés présentes
semblaient se tenir dans quelque salon huppé à l'heure du thé...
Admirez les avions, surtout les élégants Red Arrows sur leurs
Gnats, all is so British...!!!
