If things had been correctly done,
the Sioux head of N 124 had to be here and not the bird of SPA
167 which is not 1st but only 2nd Escadrille of EC 2/5 'La
Fayette' Squadron...
Existence of SPA 167 'Cigogne' (Stork) began as late as 1st
October 1918 inside Combat Group N° 12 'Cigognes' (Storks). The
unit had time to be credited with 18 confirmed kills before WWII
end and spent very few time to savoure them, disbanding on 8
April 1919...
The '167' was reactivated during 1931 at Lyon-Bron to be the 10th
escadrille of 3rd Group of 3rd Fighter Aviation Regiment simply
to replace traditions of existing F 50 having no fighter origins.
