The 8-MD code for this Marcel Dassault MD 452 Mystère IV A gave an absolute temptation to do the picture... It belongs to Squadron EC 1/2 'Saintonge' permanently housed at Cazaux.The 30mm cannons areas had been painted black due to the OTU role of 8th Fighter Wing with daily guns and weapons practice and keep them clean in appearance. Having not my slides I cannot remember if at this time finish was natural metal or with an overall silver like paint. At the origins planes had Mystere IVA stencilled on nose which originated a lightning passing by code, or code and fuselage cocarde if this latter was applied, and ended at exhaust cone. Little position and length differences existed from a Mystère IV Wing to another.
