The Super Mystère Aircraft Collection
22

Just to tell that the wing tip of taking-off Super Mystère N°99 under rain passed not very far from my belly and that during this afternoon I heard more decibels than never in the past, even when in Algeria under the whole Skyraider 20th Fighter Bomber Wing passing hours and hours during two days just a few yards before my head when firing all their 20mm guns as so as launching rockets or bombs against out of old armoured vehicles and tanks disposed on a beach about 300 yards from a little road, 300 ft below the road from where, with first aid means, I was awaiting a possible crash or ditch. . When F-111 with full reheat zoomed before me, I truly thought that a firing Skyraider had sounds of ultra-light with normal engine assisted by four rotary engines!!!
