Taking-off, Transall, a contraction for Transport Alliance, was the result of an original cooperation between Nord Aviation ( later Aérospatiale) in France, VFW Fokker associated to Messerschmitt-Blohm-Bölke in Germany to find a replacement to medium range military transport Nord 2501 Noratlas for Luftwaffe and Armée de l'Air.
