With paint a little abrased, this insigna over Transall fuselage depicts the whole 61st Transport Wing heraldry. Directly under the silver eagle are the Arms of the Franche-Comté 2/61 squadron. Left, those of 1/61 Touraine with in the lower left quarter a stylised bat face in a star featuring the insigna of Br 113 and into upper right quarter a bat being representation of Br 101 these two flights having bombing units origins from WWI. Right, the arms of 3/61 Poitou are those of the French Province made of lions accompanied by a tower and a crown.
