The SIAI Marchetti SF-260 M was one of the many aircraft of excellence which were evolved from the drawing board of the Italian designer Stellio Frati who not only was a great engineer but also a true artist having love, as Marcel Dassault, of beautifuly drawn planes. Remember the Falco, the Picchio and its all-metal version Procaer F.15 E, and his two light-jet trainers the F.5 Carroni and the F.400 Cobra which were prototypes only.
