As already said the DR 400/125 was flown for the first time ten days earlier, on May 15, 1972. The engine was a 125 hp Lycoming O-235-F. During 1975 a new Petit Prince powered by a 118 hp followed on the assembly line and let place, during 1979, to the DR 400/120 Dauphin 80 having as powerplant an Avco Lycoming O-235-L2A of 112 hp.
