Also from design of the well known Iosif Silimon engineer, the reference in matter of Romanian sailplanes, the ICA built IS 24 was a machine destined to aerial work, surely inspired by the Pilatus Porter because links existed with the Swiss firm. Indeed, Romania had also begun to licence-build, from the late sixties, the Britten-Norman Islander of which about 400 or more left the assembly lines of IAv Bucuresti and Pilatus having links with the UK firm finally acquired it from 1979. I think that IS-24 never encountered the market of aerial work aircraft...
