Neptune 147569, as said in archives was formerly
the property of Flotille 23F, coded 23F-1. Probably it
operated from Dakar before to install with unit at Lann-Bihoué
during 1961. Possibly, 569 gained its hard nose at this
time, either to be used by 23F in Pacific Ocean for
survey during atomic tests or to be used during various
missiles tests with firings from Centre d'Essais des
Landes, already evocated in the first part of this
Neptune photo series. Then it went to 25F and continued
to assume special tasks in relation with the French
Mediterranean Fleet from its detachment NAS of Hyères.
