Though with fuselage a little pot-bellied, the AD-4 is a
formidable and powerful shape in the sky and this version
is very elegant with its single seat cockpit covered with
a fighter canopy. Just before the French roundel, note
the modest door with port-hole giving access to the
radarist or observer cabin. It was never used during
french operations and such a roomy place was a dream to
put perso luggages and before all to make whisky and
other goodies transportation for big Wing occasions to do
festivities. Gibraltar or Tanger as Free Zone was a
heaven's gift on the back route to Algeria after general
overhaul of machines at the SFERMA Works in south-west of
France...
