Along south coast
of France Alizés were busy to detect soviet subs in Mediterranean Sea and
also did quite a considerable lot of exercises either with French or combined
Otan Fleets operating from Gibraltar to Bosphore and Suez Canal, this either
from their Nîmes-Garons NAS or from the Clemenceau and Foch carriers. Alizés
( as Gannets ) were able to perform pure radar search missions of 5 to 6
hours with standard crew: pilot, fore radar operator and a rear one in a
communicating cabin located behind the two slightly wedged side by side fore
seats. |
